Note: 1044-S and 1044 appear to be the same design and an example marked 1044 is not known. 1044-S is listed in catalogs 1968-1969, and 1044 is listed 1966-1967.

Further to suggest that they are the same design, in one of the catalogs where they appear as 1044 they are listed as 1044-S in the index at the back of the catalog.
